Minister of Industry and Trade of the Czech Republic, Jozef Sikela visited the Bay Area with a delegation of business leaders
A delegation of around 100 business leaders from the Czech Republic, led by Hon. Jozef Síkela, Minister of Industry and Trade, recently spent three days in the Bay Area. The primary objective of this visit was to advance and strengthen business and trade connections between the Czech Republic and the western part of the United States. The delegation was hosted by Saeed Amidi, the CEO of the Plug and Play Tech Center for the ecosystem overview and for an insightful session with local experts speaking of the challenges international founders face in the Sillicon Valley. After the session five Czech founders had their chance to pitch their idea and get feedback from the judges.
To help more Czech startups grow and thrive in the competitive Silicon Valley market the Minister signed an MoU betwee CzechInvest and Plug and Play Tech Center to work towards establishing an international acceleration program.
During another groundbraking session the startup founders had a chance to meet with Tytus Cytowski to learn valuable skills to raise money in Sillicon Valley.
The Czech US Business forum provided the business leaders with an overview of the local market opportunities and challenges.
